ABOUT ME

I hold a Master’s degree in Medical Genetics and Genomics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.  Fuelled by my passion to be a scientific researcher, after being captured by Mendelian Genetics in high school, I continued my academic journey with a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from D.Y. Patil University in Navi Mumbai. To complement my interest in genetic counselling, I pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling, while completing my 6-month Bachelor’s Dissertation project in the department of Genetics at MGM Hospital, Vashi. After my MSc, I spent 1.5 years as a researcher at the Centre of Medical Genetics in Antwerp, Belgium. Currently, I work in the field of Clinical Genomics, and Pharmacogenomics. Having observed a significant lack of awareness, particularly in the realm of genetics and medical genetics, I decided to start this blog. I also give webinars (link below), which attract students and professionals alike. My goal is to simplify complex topics, fostering education and awareness. I hope you find value in exploring this intricate subject and gain a deeper appreciation for the profound role genetics plays in shaping our very existence.​
